- Visualize a blue, inverted pyramid at the centre of your throat - The back wall of this pyramid represents the truth. It gives you the strength to hear and speak the truth. The left side of the pyramid represents your will power to speak up for what you believe. Envision it filling you with the power to know your own voice. The front of the pyramid represents communication. This side gives you the ability to communicate and connect with others through the power of your voice. The right side of the pyramid represents your creativity. This creative energy helps you to express yourself through any creative form. Imagine the blue light of the pyramid intensifying. With this intensification, the aspects of all sides of the pyramid grow stronger as well.
- Journaling/Writing - Dedicate 20 minutes everyday to journaling. Journaling helps to express the thoughts and emotions you don’t pay enough attention to you. It helps you to let things go and forces you to pay attention to the emotions that are calling your attention. Your journal is a place where you can say anything without judgement or worry of hurting others. Writing down your thoughts helps you to work things out that your mind has trouble working through. Journaling is a way to build the strength of your voice and strengthen your throat chakra. Self-expression through art, music, dance, etc. are just as beneficial.
- Mantra Meditation - Mantra meditation is repeating a word, sound or phrase. You focus on the mantra you choose and repeat it in between every inhale and exhale. The mantra can be said out loud or in your head. Your goal is to keep your attention on the mantra without letting your thoughts drift away. There are certain sounds related to each chakra. The seed sound vibrates with elemental qualities of the chakra, while the vowel sound vibrates with the body itself.
- Chakra One: seed - Lam (lahm), vowel - Ohh (as in road)
- Chakra Two: seed - Vam (vahm), vowel - Ooo (as in rule)
- Chakra Three: seed - Ram (rahm), vowel - Ahh (as in father)
- Chakra Four: seed - Yam (yahm), vowel - Ayy (as in play)
- Chakra Five: seed - Ham (hahm), vowel - Eee (as in sleep)
- Chakra Six: seed - Om (ohm), resonant sound - Mmm
- Chakra Seven: no seed sound, resonant sound - Nngg (as in sing)
